Typographic Patterns
This project investigates and tests the recognition of letter forms and common typefaces by manipulating them to create systematic, decorative, repeated patterns. The same pattern system is used throughout all of the different fonts and letters, enabling you to compare the variations between them. It shows that even the basic fonts, which graphic designers tend to dismiss, can create beautiful and interesting patterns. The patterns can go on to be used as templates for personalised items and designs for larger scales.
